Cloud computing has been a huge topic within Information Technology (IT) circles, and recently within the training community. In fact, it has recently been discussed in training publications ranging from
Chief Learning Officer magazine to District Administration magazine (K-12 school district management).
So that said, what is cloud computing, and as professional trainers, why do we care?
This talk begins by briefly describing cloud computing. Then, it goes on to discuss how cloud computing affects the training community and how we can take advantage of it to provide high quality, cost effective, and flexible training solutions. These topics include the use of internal vs. external cloud resources, security concerns, cloud-based vendor solutions, cost considerations, hybrid solutions, and much more.

Presenter Bio:
Eric Bloom is the president and founder of Manager Mechanics LLC, a premier provider of management training to Information Technology (IT) organizations and professionals.
Eric has been a senior technology executive at Fidelity Investments, Independence Investments, Monster Worldwide, and The Boston Company Asset Management. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at Bentley University and Boston University and is the author of several computer and management books, including his award winning book "Manager Mechanics: Tips and Advice for First-Time Managers."
Eric holds bachelor degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Bentley University and has an MBA from Babson College.
